In order to be notified about each newly closed referrals, Parents are required to use the secure code to add their kids to NursePort and subscribe to their referrals.
If all the Parent contact information is up to date, then when the Nurse closes a referral for their child, NursePass will attempt to:
- Send an instant push notification to a parent smartphone;
- Send two emails to the parents inboxes;
- Soon, send TXT messages to each parent's mobile phone.
We also encourage the Nurses to continue to try and call the Parents directly like they do today, for serious injuries and as needed.
